Drawing 1

So I'm taking Drawing one, just for fun... well it was supposed to be fun. I'm a bit beyond the normal talent level for the class, we spent five weeks drawing boxes! AHHHH! So our last assignment was a hybrid object, to combine to objects together with a new function or meaning. Only we had to do the whole thing cross hatching with conte crayons. ugh. no sharp points and no shading. it took forever. But what really took forever was deciding what to do. I thought for days for ideas and came up with... well none really. I called Erin and asked for ideas and she sent me five super creative, super neat ideas in one night! she has a wonderful mind. Other classmated did a lightbulb/key (symbolizing knoweledge is the key) a coat rack/tree, guitar/vine, guitar/arm and hand, hose/tree, and a cup/tree in a desert. My idea stemmed from people trophy hunting elk and dear, looking at wildlife for their monetary or show value. And I wanted Mom to see it so I'm posting it. p.s. it's not entirely finished but I had to turn it in for now.
my next project is "the impossible scenario". we just learned one point perspective (I can't wait for Drawing two!). anyway, if you think of railroad tracks going into the distance, or fence line, roads, etc. that's one point persective. We need to have that in the drawing and something impossible... using space, gravity, size, whatever we want. pretty broad, if anyone has ideas I would love to hear them.

This picture is so cool. Bob has the artistic mind, I'll ask him to see if he has any ideas. I remember the huge dragon you made on our driveway with chalk. You were pretty young when you did that.

Bob's suggestion is: You are a 2 dimentional person inside a TV looking out to a 3 dimentional people/scene.
