I was so excited at how green my lawn was coming in! I did so much work last fall tilling, raking, fertilizing, levelling, planting, watering... Upon closer inspection today I realized that it is mostly green from weeds. grrrr! Oh well, I thought, after the seed comes in some more I will use the weed and feed. That kills broad leafed plants. Upon further inspection today (checking the growth of actual grass) I discovered that my lawn is almost 50% burweed (not broad leafed and prickly)!!!!! well that's an exageration, there is actually a lot of grass - but you try pulling up burweed by hand for an afternoon and see how your ability to see percentages is altered! I hope tomorrow is nice so I can spend the day in the muddy yard pulling weeds.

Oh man.
Grrr.
Oh I hate lawn care. Our back yard looks OK at least most of it, The front, that everyone sees looks awful. Weeds bare spots you name it. It needs lots of work and it seems the more we do the worse it looks. Right now it just needs to stop raining! Buckets of rain we are flooding in the area awful! Oh and most of the neighbors yards look great!
hey, jess is in the same boat. Poor girl seeded her yard by hand with a rake! very determined to turn her dirt into a yard to play in! Your yard has been fighting for years to stay weedy - thumbs up for it's determination! :)
