Butterfly kicks

so I take what I said back. After today I can't remember yoga being that straining... tae-kwon-do really kicked my butt! Today we had to do butterfly kicks across the floor. They shouldn't call them "butterfly" kicks, they should call them "dying duck with one wing" kicks, because that's what we looked like. It wasn't pretty, but I guarantee I will be feeling it tomorrow.

I have a very distinct image of you as a dying duck right now.

Remember the ducklings we got for Easter and lived on grandma's pond before the coyotes, Shiloh and the snapping turtles killed them all? That was a really rough life lesson in the food chain.

I remember when Bob and I got ducklings for all the kids. We didn't have kids at the time so you all were pretty special to us(still are special). 1 of the ducklings died in my lap on the way down from Lawrence. The rest were eaten by the turtles. We put them in the pond, walked away, came back and most of them were already dead. Not such a good idea. We didn't do that again. Only made t-shirts!

Oh! But I remember the ducks! I loved them. :)

I do not believe Emily would make a good duck. Good luck Duck.

But seriously, we ALL remember loving those ducks! We loved our cross-stitched shirt with all the Disney themes too. But, ducks! Our parents would never do something fun like that!

(I felt especially bad for the one that floated up onto the flooded driveway and just flopped over dead --- missing a leg!)
