Lawn care

I was so excited at how green my lawn was coming in! I did so much work last fall tilling, raking, fertilizing, levelling, planting, watering... Upon closer inspection today I realized that it is mostly green from weeds. grrrr! Oh well, I thought, after the seed comes in some more I will use the weed and feed. That kills broad leafed plants. Upon further inspection today (checking the growth of actual grass) I discovered that my lawn is almost 50% burweed (not broad leafed and prickly)!!!!! well that's an exageration, there is actually a lot of grass - but you try pulling up burweed by hand for an afternoon and see how your ability to see percentages is altered! I hope tomorrow is nice so I can spend the day in the muddy yard pulling weeds.

movie recommendation

anyone see Marley and Me (or read the book)? I just finished the movie. Actually I didn't finish it because I had to leave the room to avoid letting a movie make me so sad (and cry hysterically)! I might be being silly, or I love dogs to much, and/or it just hasn't been long enough since I lost Kelly... but I just couldn't handle it. I don't think I've ever actually stopped watching a movie like that. It was really well done for anyone that has found themselves so attached to a dog even when logic might have been against such a depth of attachment. I laughed a bunch and cried too. I recommend it highly - especially to my family because I know you guys and I know it will get to you, and you will empathize with some of the situations.haha.

update

wow! I am a terrible blogger! Things are going well. I loved having Erin here for two weeks, we had a great time together. I passed my certification for AASI (snowboard istructor) and had a blast doing it. I also really enjoyed boarding with Erin, she improved so much! We were riding together with decent speed and tons of fun! I loved it. Our trip was good. I'm glad she was there because that's what made it fun.
