tagged for Happiness

Megan tagged me for six things that make me happy... in no particular order. 1) animals ; horse noses, puppy-dog cuddles, cat leans, wild animal encounters, courageous squirrels, sly goats and their slanted eyes, a duck's waddle, a hawks cry, and so much more. They make me happy. 2)when the world is wrapped in the silence of a slow heavy snow storm and the flakes can be heard landing on your shoulder. 3)campfire gatherings. when the cold behind and heat in front, war for my attention. with the type of company you are content to sip cocoa and smile at thier stories while not being able to pull your eyes from the embers dancing. 4) family. nieces that don't know me well but love me because their mom's told them I was related. family board games. continuously growing relationships with my sisters. the bond with my twin sister. the support from my mother. 5)falling into a book and not being able to crawl back out until early hours of the morning. 6)warm rain, lightning that streaks the skies, thunder that you feel in your chest, the pelting on the roof, the smell of wet leaves and dirt, and a porch swing to enjoy it from. yes. all of those things make me happy. all good things. I am tagging Katie and Erin and Aunt Gail, Because I want to hear from each of you.

embracing Idaho culture

Today Chris and I went out to Scout Mountain to refill our water jugs with natural delicious spring water and while we were out I got some Shotgun practice. I think it is a day of admitting I'm and Idaho'an. In true country fashion we didn't shoot targets, that's silly. We brought empty paint cans, trays from the stove, and leftover pumpkins.

I have a video of shooting. it's pretty funny. Everytime the shotgun goes off my front foot comes off the ground. it made me laugh. well, now I know, I need to fix my stance. (my shouder hurts now too)
